Jennifer Williams Facing Legal Charges From Producers of 'Basketball Wives'

"Basketball Wives" producers are taking their feud with cast member Jennifer Williams to the next level ... the show's big-wigs are currently in talks to file a lawsuitagainst  the "BB Wife" for publicly trashing the show

If you recall ... producers of VH1's hit series were PISSED after Williams filed a lawsuitagainst fellow cast member Nia Crooks after she slapped Williams in the face while taping an episode.

Now sources tell TMZ  -- producers are ready to take their own legal action after Williams went on a media rampage and blasted "BB Wives" alleging the show portrays African-American women negatively.

According to our sources, producers feel Williams' show-bashing is in violation of her contract -- which forbids cast members from doing any media appearances or press without approval, or speaking negatively about the show. We're told they feel she is "ruining the brand" they worked so hard to build.

Let the mudslinging begin.

Should've seen this one coming... What do you think?

Ladies!!! If You Wanna Learn How To Save...You Have To Take It From A Pro

Suze Orman, author of The Money Class: How to Stand in Your Truth and Create the Future You Deserve answers your most-asked questions about putting away money, from how to pay for your kids' college education to how to secure your retirement.

I absolutely respect Suze Orman a whole lot. Let me tell you why. Coming from being an average working woman to becoming a self-made millionaire is no easy task. Suze has paid her dues in the financial industry being one of the 1st female powerhouses in the game. Now she's an author talking to people around the world and of all ages about the importance of having a good financial plan. I've read Suze's book "The Money Class" and she talks about some very important and interesting things a person can and should do in order to have a financially free life. In addition, Suze also has her own talk show on CNBC called "The Suze Orman Show", where she decides on whether people are "Approved or Denied" about making certain financial decisions. It's really funny because some of these people know damn well they don't have any business buying half the things they're asking for. Here are some answers Suze recently answered:

Q: I am a 24-year-old mother of two, and I'm getting a divorce. My salary is about $50,000 a year, and I receive no child support. I plan to return to school and will probably make only about $20,000 once I cut back my work hours. I now put 6 percent of my income into my 401(k), adding a percentage point per year. Should I keep putting money into my 401(k), despite my limited income? Or should I wait until I finish school?

A: I wish I could bottle up your spirit and share it with the world. After reading your first three sentences, I was sure you would ask how you could make it as a single parent on one income that is dropping 60 percent. But instead you're focused on building security. That tenacity tells me you can do anything you set your mind to.

But you need to be realistic. On $20,000 a year, you will already be stretched thin. So please don't shortchange basic needs to keep saving for retirement while you are in school. Look at school as a big part of your financial plan: By upgrading your skills, you give a boost to your future earning power. When you're back working full-time, you can refocus on retirement investing.

But if you seriously think you can save for retirement and support your family while you're in school, here's my strategy: As long as you have a large emergency savings fund that can cover eight months of living expenses, keep investing in a 401(k) if you get a company match. Maybe it can't be 6 percent of your salary next year (that would be $1,200 of $20,000), but even at half that, you would benefit from the company match.

If you don't have an emergency savings fund, or your employer doesn't offer a matching contribution, skip the 401(k) while in school and invest in a Roth IRA . It has no tax or penalty if you dip into your contributions to cover an emergency. Only your Roth earnings would be hit with a tax, plus a 10 percent penalty for an early withdrawal. So your Roth could do double duty: When things go well, it serves as a retirement account; in times of trouble, you can pull out your Roth contributions without tax or penalty. Any money you invest in a Roth should go into low-risk investments, such as a money market fund, CDs, or short-term Treasury bills. Once you're out of school, you can move your investments to stock exchange-traded funds or mutual funds; over the long term, stocks will help you earn inflation-beating gains. Over the short term, they are too volatile to use for a quasi-emergency fund. Good luck!

Q: I'm in my early 30s and have been living with my 45-year-old boyfriend for almost a decade. We own a house and have joint and individual checking accounts, Roth IRAs, a will, and power of attorney documents—everything you recommend. My concern is that my boyfriend isn't saving enough for retirement. At my urging, he started a Roth IRA but has invested less than $5,000 in it. He is anticipating a $150,000 inheritance from a relative to see him through retirement, which I don't think will be enough. I'm worried that I'll end up supporting us both.

A: Your boyfriend is being irresponsible. Anticipating an inheritance and receiving one are two different matters. Given that so many of us are living longer, combined with an increased need for care as we get older, the reality is that the money family members intend to bequeath can end up going toward their own living costs. If your boyfriend does eventually receive the inheritance, it could come when he's well into his 60s—is he prepared to wait that long? Even then, $150,000 isn't a windfall he can rely on to cover all of his retirement costs. To live off of the money, he will want to invest it conservatively in bonds to generate income and avoid eating away at the principal. I'm going to be generous and assume he'll earn 5 percent interest annually in a municipal bond (which is exempt from federal and often state income tax). At that rate, his $150,000 would generate about $625 a month. I bet that's not enough to pay for his living costs as well as all the expenses that come with enjoying one's later years (travel, going out more often, etc.).

Your partner needs to grow up rather than hope his rich relatives and conscientious girlfriend will bail him out. I get the sense that the good financial choices you've made together are the result of your planning and initiative, not his. It's okay for one person to be the leader, but both of you have to take responsibility. If he isn't up for that, you need to rethink the relationship—and all the money you put into it.

When he's ready to get serious about saving, I want your boyfriend to turbocharge his Roth IRA. The annual maximum contribution is $5,000 if you are under 50 years old and earn less than $101,000 ($159,000 for married couples); it's $6,000 a year if you're 50 or older. Pleas factcheck maximum contributions for 2012 since they change every year And tell him I said he'd better be taking advantage of any retirement accounts offered through his job, such as a 401(k). Many employers will match your contribution if you agree to have money deducted from your paycheck and invested in the account. That match is like a bonus; don't turn it down. Because your partner is getting a late start, he should put money in a regular taxable investment account and choose low-cost index funds or exchange-traded funds. Today's tough economic climate makes it more important than ever to minimize the fees you pay on your financial accounts.

Q: In the past four years, I've paid off all my debts and saved enough for a six-month emergency fund. Should I invest some of it in the stock market? If so, what percentage? I've never had this much cash sitting in the bank before, and I don't know if it's doing what it should.

A: Paying off debt and building a six-month backup fund is a major accomplishment—good for you! (And keep it up.)

While it's fantastic that you want to make the most of this money, you should definitely not invest it in the stock market. This is your emergency savings—so you need to know it's going to be there for you the next time one inevitably arises. You just can't count on the market in the short term: Say you had $20,000 in emergency savings on January 1, 2008, and you put that money into a stock market index fund. Then, on December 31, 2008, you were laid off. You might have told yourself you'd be okay with your severance and your savings. But when you checked your account, you'd have found that its value had fallen to $12,600, since the S&P 500 stock index fund was down 37 percent.

The key with emergency savings is safety first. And second. And third.

@czarblack305 Joins The Ladies of @AllGirlTalk For A Night Of True Confessions

Czar_blackBorn Taj Ali in Miami, Florida to a gospel singer, and a family full of musical talent and influence, the artist known in many circles as Czar Black/ Nomadic was blessed with the genes of a performer. Young Ali experienced a wide array of influences early on, moving back and forth between New York and Miami.
A self taught musical dynamo, Taj Ali was mentored by many industry heavy weights including Professor Griff of the group, Public Enemy, and Mr.Mixx of 2 Live Crew. Not one to be pigeonholed into one realm of expertise, Ali taught himself not only to blend “New York Style” hip hop with the gritty, club friendly“Southern Style”, but also to expand into beat-making and production. Ali learned and developed the use of live instruments in his music, as he is also a self taught bass guitarist and drummer.
In 2000, Ali found himself in Jacksonville, Florida. Given his extensive travels, he set up his home base on the First Coast and coined himself the name “Nomadic”, a reference to his history of residential, spiritual, mental and musical transitions. Nomadic quickly became a main stay in the local hip hop scene, known not only for his unique “Up North/Dirty South” style, but for his knack for live performances, a range that spans singing and rapping, and also his ability to extemporaneously freestyle in depth lyrics that most rappers could never imagine writing.

Both an accomplished Songwriter and Producer, Czar Black/ Nomadic is also the 2004 freestyle champion for The Source Unsigned Hype/AND 1 Mixtape Series. Czar Black was also crowned by DJ Bigga Rankins of Cool Runnings/ HitMen DJs as “Freestyle King Of Duval”, due to an array of battle victories on the local scene. If ever urban music could claim an artist as a renaissance creator, Czar Black would be that man.

1. Pitch Events on Facebook Pages

Here's a very quick, very easy way to generate TV publicity for a special event in your town.

When I was in Los Angeles last week, I was watching "Good Morning, America" in the hotel while preparing for a business meeting. Between segments, ABC cut to the local news and weather on ABC7. During his forecast, weather guy Garth Kemp reminded viewers about the California Poppy Festival in Lancaster that Saturday and Sunday. He mentioned that the weather would be perfect.

How did he know about the festival?

He said that somebody told him about it on his Facebook page. I'll bet that took all of about 60 seconds. Many TV meteorologists, reporters, anchors, sports reporters and others have Facebook pages, a perfect place to pitch story ideas.

Steal this idea the next time your group is sponsoring an outdoor event, or even an indoor event during the winter where people can stay warm and cozy.

The weather happens 365 days a year and it's one of the most overlooked ways to generate publicity.

3. How to Respond to a Media Lead

The free and paid services that feed you leads from journalists who are looking for sources should be a staple of your publicity campaign.

But you must know exactly how to respond to a media lead. If a health reporter for USA Today is looking for sources who suffer from depression, and you want that reporter to write about your company's latest study on which foods cause depression, do not pitch that story or the report could blackball you forever.

You can respond only if you're a perfect fit for the story mentioned in the lead. Dan Janal's new book "Reporters Are Looking for You" guides you step-by-step through the entire process of how to respond to a media lead and form strong relationships with reporters.

Dan has graciously agreed to offer the book free to anyone in my course called "On Target Publicity: How to Find, Capture & Convert Your Target Market." I'll present the second webinar in the series this Thursday, April 26, and we'll explain how to find your target market on the social media sites, and how to make it easy for them to find you.

I have only two more openings in the course, and if you register today, you can access the video replay of last week's session on how to set goals and identify your target market. Learn all the details here.

30 Things a Woman Should Know By The Time She's 30! featuring @Dr.MayaAngelou @Suzeormanshow @kathygriffin

http://bosschicks.com/profiles/blogs/30-things-every-woman-should-have-and-should-know-by-the-time-she

“30 Things Every Woman Should Have and Should Know by the Time She’s 30″ Book was just released by the Editors of Glamour Magazine. I have manage to accomplish most of what on the lists below before I turned 30.

This list is great to go by in your 20′s and you can apply it in your 30′s. In today’s world, a woman should  accomplish certain goals. It gives you power and a great feeling for worth.

By 30, you should have …

1. One old boyfriend you can imagine going back to and one who reminds you of how far you’ve come.

2. A decent piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in your family.

3. Something perfect to wear if the employer or man of your dreams wants to see you in an hour.

4. A purse, a suitcase, and an umbrella you’re not ashamed to be seen carrying.

5. A youth you’re content to move beyond.

6. A past juicy enough that you’re looking forward to retelling it in your old age.

7. The realization that you are actually going to have an old age — and some money set aside to help fund it.

8. An email address, a voice mailbox, and a bank account — all of which nobody has access to but you.

9. A résumé that is not even the slightest bit padded.

10. One friend who always makes you laugh and one who lets you cry.

11. A set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra.

12. Something ridiculously expensive that you bought for yourself, just because you deserve it.

13. The belief that you deserve it.

14. A skin-care regimen, an exercise routine, and a plan for dealing with those few other facets of life that don’t get better after 30.

15. A solid start on a satisfying career, a satisfying relationship, and all those other facets of life that do get better.

By 30, you should know …

1. How to fall in love without losing yourself.

2. How you feel about having kids.

3. How to quit a job, break up with a man, and confront a friend without ruining the friendship.

4. When to try harder and when to walk away.

5. How to kiss in a way that communicates perfectly what you would and wouldn’t like to happen next.

6. The names of the secretary of state, your great-grandmothers, and the best tailor in town.

7. How to live alone, even if you don’t like to.

8. Where to go — be it your best friend’s kitchen table or a yoga mat — when your soul needs soothing.

9. That you can’t change the length of your legs, the width of your hips, or the nature of your parents.

10. That your childhood may not have been perfect, but it’s over.

11. What you would and wouldn’t do for money or love.

12. That nobody gets away with smoking, drinking, doing drugs, or not flossing for very long.

13. Who you can trust, who you can’t, and why you shouldn’t take it personally.

14. Not to apologize for something that isn’t your fault.

15. Why they say life begins at 30

R & B Singer Brandy Reveals Eating Disorder?

via    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/25/brandy-eating-disorder-teen_n_145342...

With a hit television show and a successful music career, Brandy Norwood was one of the biggest stars of the 1990s, but her life was far from perfect.

On tonight's episode of VH1's "Behind the Music," the 33-year-old reveals her struggle with an eating disorder as a teen.

"I wanted to be thin. That was my main thing. So I started not taking care of myself -- not eating properly, not eating at all, diet pills, regurgitating, all all of these things that girls do," she revealed to VH1.

The singer and actress explained that even with all her No. 1 singles, a starring role on the series "Moesha" and a decent film career, she always felt as if she was falling short.

"People don't understand that being the hottest star or making the most money does not mean anything," she said. "I'm here to tell you I was making so much money -- I was omnipresent -- and I was the unhappiest teenager probably in the world."

The singer also opened up about one of the most difficult incidents in her life -- the 2006 car crash that killed 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj.

"I would hear what people would say, and still to this day they knew that's a button," she explained. "They know that they can call me a murderer or call me someone that killed someone ... A murderer is someone who premeditates it. I didn't wake up that day to be involved in a fatal car crash. I didn't plan for that. And if I could take it back, I would."

The accident happened at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 30, when Brandy's Land Rover struck a 2005 Toyota, which in turn stuck another car. The Toyota then slid sideways and hit the center divider and as the car finally stopped it was hit by an Acura. The driver of the Toyota, Awatef Aboudihaj, was taken to hospital in critical condition, where she died the next day.

While there wasn't enough evidence to convict Brandy of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter, she did settle with Aboudihaj's two children, who received a total of $600,000, in 2009 and later settled with the victim's husband, for an undisclosed amount.

On her "Behind the Music" special, Brandy opened up about the aftermath of the tragedy, telling VH1, " I just wanted people to know that this wasn't news. It's not something that should be talked about like it's gossip. You don't like me? Fine. But don't use this situation to try to hurt me, because the guilt of being involved is enough. It's something that I'll never truly, truly get over. Ever," she explained.

WTF?! Woman Shots Mother and Kidnaps Her Newborn Baby!

April 19, 2012 12:00 am

HOUSTON -- A licensed vocational nurse shot a young mother and kidnapped her newborn son outside a pediatrician's office near Houston after lying to her fiance about having delivered his child, authorities said.

"She needed to justify that she had a child to her fiance," Montgomery County Sheriff's Capt. Bruce Zenor said at a news briefing Wednesday.

Verna McClain, 30, of Houston is accused in Tuesday's fatal shooting of Kala Marie Golden, 28. Ms. McClain was charged with capital murder Wednesday, and a judge ordered her held without bond in Montgomery County jail.

Investigators said Ms. McClain took 3-day-old Keegan after she suffered a miscarriage but didn't tell her fiance. "She told him she was pregnant and had given birth to a child by him," Capt. Zenor said. Ms. McClain is black; Ms. Golden, white. The captain said the fiance is not white, and it was unclear how she intended to pass off the baby as her own.

Before the shooting, Capt. Zenor said, Ms. McClain had cased Northwoods Pediatric Center in Spring, Texas, about 25 miles north of Houston, a place she knew well, having taken her two children there for treatment.

Capt. Zenor said Ms. McClain didn't know the victim. "This was a random choice," he said.

Shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Ms. Golden emerged from the doctor's office after taking her son for a checkup and buckled the child into her truck. She then got into a fight with a woman parked next to her, witnesses said.

The woman shot Ms. Golden several times before taking her son from the truck and fleeing, investigators said.

Based on witness accounts, investigators found the woman's blue car 11/2 miles away at an apartment complex. There, Ms. McClain eventually approached them, saying she was trying to help, but her story unraveled.

Ms. McClain confessed to the shooting and kidnapping, according to her arrest report.

Today--George Zimmerman Charged With Second Degee Murder!

Florida state prosecutor Angela Corey has charged George Zimmerman with second degree murder in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, the Associated Press is reporting. He is already in custody.

STORY: George Zimmerman To Be Charged Today!

It has been over 40 days since Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon inside a Sanford, FL gated community.

Zimmerman has been missing since the night of the shooting and the case has subsequently become worldwide news, prompting activists, celebrities and even President Obama to speak out.

Yesterday Zimmerman’s lawyers withdrew from the case, citing their inability to contact Zimmerman.

Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig expressed concern in a news conference about Zimmerman’s emotional and physical well being, claiming he has taken actions without consulting them.

According to reports, Zimmerman voluntarily surrendered himself to authorities, he has new council and he was out of the state of Florida.

Zimmerman's new lawyer Mark O'Mara told CNN that his client turned himself into police.

Corey spoke with Sybrina Martin moments before she announced the charges against Zimmerman at a news conference in Jacksonville, FL. Corey told the room full of reporters:

"We have charged George Zimmerman charged with murder in the 2nd degree and he is in custody."

Corey continued saying:

"We do not prosecute by public pressure or by petition. And it is the search for justice for Trayvon that has led us to this moment."

Corey said she will not discuss evidence in the case, but says the standard is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Right now, no bond is set on Zimmerman and prosecutors won't disclose Zimmerman's whereabouts for his safety.

#RecordBreaker--10 Year Old Gives Birth In Columbia!

BOGOTA, Colombia -- Colombian authorities said Tuesday that they've been frustrated in their attempts to file criminal charges against the young father of a baby born two weeks ago to a 10-year-old ethnic Wayuu girl.

That's because the Wayuu people have their own justice system and rarely cooperate with agents of the Colombian state in such matters, said Maria Gladys Pabon, chief prosecutor in Riohacha, the regional capital.

Under Colombian law, any sexual relations with a child age 14 or younger is a crime punishable by at least nine years in prison.

But legal and indigenous affairs experts say that under Colombia's 1991 constitution the Wayuu have jurisdiction.

The girl, who cannot be identified by law, gave birth on March 29 via Caesarean section and is one of the youngest mothers on record.

The father, who authorities say is 15, also cannot be identified.

The baby weighed 5.6 pounds (2.6 kilos) and measured 14.5 inches (47 centimeters), said Dr. Fabio Gonzalez, who delivered the child in a private clinic in Riohacha, on the Guajira peninsula in Colombia's northeast coast.

"She barely understood what was happening" at the moment of birth, Gonzalez told The Associated Press by phone. He said he had to operate because at that age the pelvis is still growing "and it's too small for the fetus to pass through the vaginal canal."

He said the mother, who was discharged from the clinic in good health, is also relatively short at 4 feet, 7 inches (142 centimeters).

"TRAYVON A N*GGER" ROAD SIGN BLASTS RACIAL SLUR « Breaking News & Views on BlackMediaScoop Breaking News & Views on BlackMediaScoop

Media_httpwwwblackmed_dubeb
How da hell does this happen! Just hours after some local churchgoers traded their Easter bonnets for hoodies in a show of support for Trayvon Martin and his family, someone else just a few miles away was using Trayvon’s name to spread intolerance and ignorance. Around one o’clock Monday morning, calls started pouring into Michigan State Police dispatch. Someone had broken into an electronic road construction sign along I-94 westbound at Michigan Avenue and changed the message to “Trayvon a [N-word].” MDOT spokesperson Rob Morosi was sickened by the display of hatred. “It’s such a shame that in this day and age we’re still dealing with this and that they would use a mechanism to reach so many people,” he told us. Morosi said someone busted the lock on the sign and used the keyboard inside to change the wording. He added there is no way it was an inside job. “There’s no one that works at the department that did that. Actually, these signs are provided by a subcontractor on the job. They’re not actually the State of Michigan’s signs. But we’re not going to point the finger at the subcontractor in this situation. Obviously someone either pulled over to the side of the road or came down the freeway slope, broke into the panel, took the keyboard, but before they did that, they changed the message,” Morosi said. Michigan State Police are actively looking for the person responsible. If you were traveling in the area and saw anything suspicious, please give them a call. The Michigan Department of Transportation released the following statement Monday afternoon: “The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) today confirmed that a portable message sign board along I-94 in Detroit was hacked into during the early morning hours of Monday, April 9. The portable message board, owned and operated by a subcontractor, was in place advising motorists of the active I-94/M-39 interchange project. Originally displaying a ‘road work ahead’ message, a hacker broke into the control panel and changed the advanced construction notice to a racial epithet. The portable message board was hacked into shortly after midnight (EST) but crews responded and had the message dismantled by 1 a.m. ‘Everyone at MDOT is appalled by this criminal act,’ said State Transportation Director Kirk T. Steudle. ‘We will do everything we can to cooperate with the Michigan State Police investigation and we look forward to bringing the responsible party to justice.’ Mich. This Is Crazy! Age 10 the ‘New Norm’ for Puberty in Girls Thanks to Chemicals Like BPA

There is an ongoing and unusual trend that is steadily becoming more recognized by the public. Why are girls going into puberty at such young ages? Furthermore, what are the causes and implications of this strange new trend?

Girls as young as 7 are now beginning to undergo body changes that their mothers hadn’t experienced until years later. At this rate, by the time that they’ll be taught about puberty in the school curriculum, they will have already finished it. This trend is so puzzling, and yet slowly is becoming considered an inevitable “new norm” rather than being highlighted as an aggravated health condition.

Toxic BPA is featured in the vast majority of plastics used commercially today. This chemical has the property of mimicking estrogen when leeched into the body. The delicate hormonal balance in the developing human body is being offset by the introduction of BPA and other chemicals into an average child’s life. Nearly out of the womb, children who are given plastic toys, pacifiers or bottles all come under the influence of this hormone disruption incredibly early.

In girls, this disturbance accelerates their growth rate, setting off puberty at much younger ages. In boys, this can retard their growth and stop them from reaching full maturity altogether. The damage also carries into adulthood, causing a number of health problems associated with hormonal imbalance including breast cancer. The average person has looked at this recent phenomenon and dismissed it due to the lack of information, combined with the incredible subtlety with which the chemical culprits have been woven into daily life.

BPA appears in the majority of plastics used today. Most containers and plastic bags contain the substance. Even dollar bills and toilet paper contain it. It has also been discreetly worked into the food supply in numerous ways. Most bottled water, often being subjected to extreme temperatures, has an increased concentration of BPA in the contents of the water.

A majority of canned products also contain BPA, used as lining for the insides of cans. Any microwaved food in a container or bag also becomes contaminated, due to the high temperatures causing the chemical to leach into the food during preparation. Another notable culprit is the presence of soy foods and products in a diet. Soy is pushed as a health food, but is often highly genetically modified. In addition, it contains large amounts of estrogen.

These hidden health risks are largely to blame for what has been mostly considered an unexplainable phenomenon. Many doctors fail to point out any of the reasons why these transformations take place. Effectively, our natural biology is being reconfigured at an alarming rate.

#SMH--So You Lost A Mega Millions Winner Ticket?

The woman claiming to be the owner of a winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Maryland last week now says she has misplaced the ticket.

Mirlande Wilson, 37, who previously said she was hiding the lucky ticket in a Baltimore area McDonald’s where she works, told NBC 4 that she can’t find it.

The revelation came hours after Wilson held a news conference with her attorney to ask the media, eager to interview an apparent winner in the record-breaking $656 million Mega Millions jackpot, to leave her alone.

According to a Maryland State Lottery Agency spokesman, a legitimate winning ticket holder has not yet come forward in the state.

Last week’s lottery drawing resulted in a total of three winning tickets, including one sold at a 7-Eleven in Baltimore County. The winner has until Sept. 28 to claim the prize.
