In 2000, Ali found himself in Jacksonville, Florida. Given his extensive travels, he set up his home base on the First Coast and coined himself the name “Nomadic”, a reference to his history of residential, spiritual, mental and musical transitions. Nomadic quickly became a main stay in the local hip hop scene, known not only for his unique “Up North/Dirty South” style, but for his knack for live performances, a range that spans singing and rapping, and also his ability to extemporaneously freestyle in depth lyrics that most rappers could never imagine writing.
Both an accomplished Songwriter and Producer, Czar Black/ Nomadic is also the 2004 freestyle champion for The Source Unsigned Hype/AND 1 Mixtape Series. Czar Black was also crowned by DJ Bigga Rankins of Cool Runnings/ HitMen DJs as “Freestyle King Of Duval”, due to an array of battle victories on the local scene. If ever urban music could claim an artist as a renaissance creator, Czar Black would be that man.
